How to draw a rose

The rose is drawn in six steps. In each step the new lines are purple and the lines you already drew stay gray.

How to draw it step by step

Step 1. Draw the rounded shape of the flower, wider at the top.
Step 2. Add two petals at the bottom that meet in the middle.
Step 3. Inside the flower draw two smaller petals, one inside the other.
Step 4. Draw a curling line in the middle.
Step 5. Draw a long stem under the flower.
Step 6. Finish with the leaves and the thorns.

Drawing tips

Draw lightly so you can rub out a line if you need to.
Start with the big shapes, circles and ovals, then add the small parts.
Your drawing does not have to look like ours. Every drawing can have its own character.
